Neurobics: Keeping Your Mind Fit
Studies reveal the brain at any age has a remarkable ability to make new connections, absorb new data and acquire new skills. As part of the Masterpiece Living® initiative, Somerby of Mount Pleasant residents will have the opportunity to enhance their memory during a 6-week interactive Neurobics course.
Somerby’s Neurobics classes are designed to raise awareness about memory and aging, reveal memory strategies, outline the connection between challenging your mind and aging successfully, and help you feel more comfortable with your memory.
In addition to learning about memory-related topics, participants are also encouraged to challenge themselves intellectually by using and practicing actual Neurobics, or brain exercises, which involve one or more of your senses and/or break your routine in some significant way. Similar exercises have been shown to improve brain function and reduce the risk of dementia!
If you’re interested in learning more about Neurobics, please contact Somerby of Mount Pleasant at (843) 654-7911.
